Q: is the grand touring 2005 mazda 6 a good car?
this is for any owners of mazda 6's out there, preferably the 2005 models. how has your experience been with it? is $16k for one with leather, 21k miles on it a good deal? what are known problems?
A: Hi, that is a fair deal for a V6 engine with Auto trans. If it is the 4 cyl I would get another 1000.00 off the price. But both engines are good and you shouldnt have any problems with either. The 6 is a very good car and very reliable.
Q: 2005 Mazda 6 I have a damaged A/C condenser is it safe to use?
It was an accidednt and the bumper is trashed. The only other damage is on the bumper reinforcement and the condenser. The condenser does not appear to have been punctired just bent in the middle. Do you all think it is safe to drive w/ ac on?
A: probly ok.may not work 100% cause of smaller vol. but if not leaking go man go...
Q: I want to get Sirius installed on my 2005 Mazda 6. Should I go factory or aftermarket?
I currently am using a Starmate, but I am sick of all the wires for the antenna and power. So I am thinking og getting a unit permentally installed now that my commute is a little further. What's better: a factor unit, or an aftermarket unit? benefits, negatives to each? approximate cost, etc.

A: Sirius is the ONLY way to go. What you need is a Kenwood or brand name unit Sat ready. Now you get a reciever box for it . One wire plugs in the back of the aftermarket unit and then antenna. This unit is NOT FM modulated, which means a better signal , sound and cleaner install. I have five of these units in cars and love it, every thing goes thru head unit and Kenwood has several units with Bluetooth Ipod Mp3 Wma and other options in one unit look a Kenwood KCD-x891.

Anyone know the part # for a 2005 Mazda 6 driver side outer tail light assembly? (maybe a Mazda tech is reading this) Also, if anyone knows what model years will be compatible with the 2005. Would like to know approximate cost and where I can purchase online or in my area....n.e. PA. Maybe someone out there has one to sell from a similar car that is damaged and is selling for parts. Often their prices are comparable with used units from salvage yards. Some of the light assemblies that I have purchased from them even came complete with new bulbs!
Q: Is my 2005 Mazda 6 Sirius Satellite Ready or what?
I ahve a satellite buttin on my radio, and when I bought the car the sales man told me it was. So I called Sirius, and they told me to just hold in the SAT button, and a 800 # will show up. IT DIDN'T! Just wondering what I have to do to get Sirius. Don't be a jackass and try to talk me into getting XM either please, and real answers would be appreciated, thanks.

Q: My 2005 Mazda 6 gasoline reader not working?
What could have caused my gas reader to break? My car broke down today because I had no gas, but did not know about it.
A: I think you mean the fuel gage.
It was caused by Mazdas being garbage
You're going to have to take the fuel tank off to get to the pump to change it.
Next time don't buy a Mazda.
Here's another fun thing, if the timing belt breaks the engine will break too! Make sure to get it changed at about 50k miles whether it seems to need it or not.
Next time buy a Honda, Chevy, or Toyota

its not as simple as being said i promised, there is something about dropping the sub-frame to get to it, need a mazda person here to help
A: Disconnect the negative cable of the battery.
Remove the old alternator.
Install the new one.
Reconnect the cable.
Start the car and check to see that it's charging.

Q: How do I change the fog lamp on a 2005 Mazda 6?
A: Here are some instructions I found:
On the back of the foglight housing, there is a black plastic cover. It is clipped in from the top, a screwdriver is a preferable tool to pop the cover loose. once that is off, the bulb itself is held in by metal retainers. You have to push them together, while you pull up on them. then, the bulb comes out. When you replace it, be sure the bulb is aligned, or the clips won't hold it right.

Q: 2005 Mazda 6 radio?
Forgive me if this is confusing-- I'm a not so car savvy girl.
My radio/clock display has spots missing! When its reaalllly cold out it all shows up, but other than that it has little chunks you can't see.
This is not my car, clearly this is one that WORKS! lol but its so you can see what I mean:

A: They are burning out. This can happen. The radio will still work though. Cheaper to just get another one. Maybe ebay.

I have been told that I can not use a used ecm from a nother car because of the transponder code(in the key) and also that mazda ecm,s can not be reflashed to change the vin # . dose any one NO if this is true or is there a way it can be done ?the ecm# on on it is AJB7-18-881F it is for a mazda 6 2005 3.0 6speed auto. any help would be great thanks
