So, is the engine and transmission in a Mazda 6 S , year 2007 a Japanese engine and/or transmission, or is it Ford?

A: Last time I checked the Mazda 6 was made in the states and the V6 was a Ford engine while the 4 cylinder was a Japanese Mazda part. The Ford Focus which is build on the Mazda 6 platform is made in Mexico. Its possible that some of the Mazda 6 models are pure Japanese though.

I have a 2007 Mazda 6 that I just got as a gift, the gas gage needle was almost on E with the light on so I put $10 in gas got over 2 gallons and the light is still on and the needle didn't move. Please Help I'm despearte.

A: Two gallons may not have been enough to move the float in the tank, so your problem continues. Try putting in a lot more gas. If the problem still occurs after that you may have a faulty float attached to you fuel pump. If it's stuck then you'll never get a true reading of your gas level. You'd have to remove the fuel pump to fix it, or replace the pump.

Q: 2007 Mazda 6 remote start install?
I have a couple questions about remote start in my Mazda 6. First does the dealer off remote start after you buy the car. Second, if I go after-market, I have to get a key for the bypass. How does that work if the key made for the 6 is the one that flips out with a keyless entry remote. Does the dealer make a key without the keyless entry? Does anybody know how much it costs?

A: First: Yes the dealer does offer a remote start kit. Part number is 0000-8F-H13A for the kit, and 0000-8F-H03 for the hood sensor. You may need both and you have to have automatic transmission. You will not need a spare key with the this kit. Second: Yes the dealer can offer a key that doesn't flip. Part number is F1Y1-76-2GX, If memory serves me. It will have to be programmed to the vehicle though.

Q: 2007 Mazda 6 6-disc cd changer won't play my mp3's?
I recently bought a 2007 Mazda 6 5-door and it came with a 6-disc cd changer. the instruction manual said that it plays mp3s so i made a cd full of mp3s and couldnt wait for my car to be filled with 700mb worth of mp3 x 6! however, wen i put the mp3 disc in, the cd player would not play it. i could see it stuck on track 1, and time passing by, but there is no sound whatsoever. how do i make it play mp3s?? is there a special program you have to download, etc? *i know it plays burned cds because i burned a couple songs on a blank cd (but made it a 12-track audio disc) any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

A: There's no program you can download (to your car, I'm assuming you mean), but try the disk in another MP3 player to make sure you made it right, and double check the docs - maybe they need a specific MP3 format (in terms of quality) in order to play.

Q: 2007 Mazda 6 Lock Issue?
My 2007 Mazda 6 will not let me lock the doors using the power locks buttons. The immobilizer light is on, but the car starts/runs fine. I can even lock the doors with the key remote from outside the car, but not the power lock buttons. I don't think its the buttons because 1. its a new car and 2. when I hit the power lock button to unlock the doors it makes the clicking sound like they would have unlocked if they were not already unlocked. Confused...Me too. Any ideas?

A: I still think its the switch or a wire loss on the switch. if its a new car it should be under warranty for the dealer to look at. take it in.

A: I would get the Mazda. Its going to cost more though and the 2 cars are in different classes so they don't compete. I had great luck with Mazda cars in the past. Not so much with my tC. I cant believe people get their 16 yr old kids new cars. Everybody here was 16 and knows what kids did to their cars. We either wrecked it or just trashed it. Your mom should split a nice 10 yr old cheap used car with you. Then she wont need to worry about expensive repairs for crash damage and you learn the value of responsibility.

I need a diagram, or wiring manual for a mazda 6 2007. i need to know how to rewire the wiring harness for the information display. Which wires go into which holes. one end of harness has the following wires: G- Blk/Y F- Silver H- Orange D- R/Blue C- G/R A- Blu/whi/silver E- Black B- blk/red those are all in the right wholes. there are 12 holes on the harness, 8 are filled with those in the following pattern: X=empty X A B X C D E F X G X H then on the other part of the harness, i have the following wires, and twelve empty holes.
