A: Because they are redesigning them for 2009 and the new model is out very soon.
There is a $2750 rebate to get rid of the '08 Mazda 6.
When the '09 hits the showroom, they will have even more trouble getting rid of the '08's, so they are discounting them now.
It's a great car. Nothing wrong with them. If I were in the market for a new car now, I would definitely consider the 08 Mazda 6.

Its been roughly the same style for the last several years. I was curious as to whether Mazda intended to make any major changes in 2008.
A: The new Mazda 6 will be on sale as a 2008. It is larger and looks like the CX-7 in the front. It is one of the cars on my list to buy this winter. It helps too when my nephew sells them.

A: Nothing to look out for, your getting the right car. The engine immobilizer is a safety feature. It means no one can start the car unless they have a factory key with the computer chip in it. For example if you went to a key shop and had them cut a key identical to your factory key, the engine would not start. The factory keys have computer chips in them.

Just bought a 2008 Mazda 6 drove it on vacation and evey time i hit a bump you can hear the tire scraping the tire well. It wore the rubber off the tire and left melted rubber in tire well, what could be the problem?
It's a brand new car, didnt have but 40 miles on it- I had a suitcase in the trunk and thats it! I've only had it a week.
A: my friend with his 1997 M3 had the same problem, he replaced the rear shocks, and springs. Are you hauling something heavy in your trunk? or always driving a lot of people that take up the whole rear seat? But if its that new of a car the dealer you bought it from should take care of it, if im not mistaking that is under warranty.

I am considering buying a new - 2008 - Mazda 6 diesel but have heard that the fuel economy is poor compared tot eh official figures. Does anyone have any experience of this?
A: If you're looking to save money on gas, I would stay away from diesel itself.

Yesterday I went to the Mazda dealership ready to purchase a Mazda 6. The salesman told me they didn't have any available. He said that Mazda stopped production in April because the new 2009 models are coming out sometime in August. He said there are only 3 Mazda 6's (the V6) in the Midwest left.
I wonder if he was telling me the truth. I guess he would have tried to sell me SOMETHING, right? So he must have been truthful. I'm wondering if I should go back and ask him to get the 2008? Won't I get a really good price since it's the older model now?
A: just wait to get the 2009 model. if any thing else see what promotions the 2008 get. its all your opinion but also remember that you might have to pay them to go get your car.

A: mazda6..do they still make those? the newly redesigned accord is very unexpected in terms of design. its typical fit and finish indicates the conservative nature that still remains, but otherwise, nothing special. camry is still boring, but the hybrid version is notable. the new malibu looked impressive, but then again, the rear end to put it simply was unnecessary..just butchered. if i had the money, i would personally be satisfied with the altima, but only with the cvt and v6. the ford fusion looks to be a bargain when equipped with the awd, and its reliable, too.
