Q: How do I reach the back of radio in a Mazda Miata 2006-2008?
I want to install an iPod integration kit that plugs into the back of the factory (BOSE) radio and I want to know how to reach the back of the radio. I am looking for instructions on how to either remove the center console or the face plates around the radio to then remove it and reach the back of the unit. I've only found instructions on how to do this in either older miatas or other mazda models. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks to both of you for your replies. I guess I should have been a bit more clear. I'm looking to see if anybody has done this before and (in the ideal world) has taken some pictures. I have done this kind of work before so I'm confident I won't botch it, but I wanted to know things like the location of the clips, correct sequence for removal, etc. Any more info would be appreciated. Best, -- Carlos

A: You have to pop the trim from around the middle console. To get it all the way off the center trim is also gonna have to be popped loose. Then you will need to unbolt the receiver and slide it out to plug in the cable, if your receiver has the ability to in the first place.

Q: Is there a turbo kit available for the 2006 Mazda Miata?

A: Maybe, but I don't know why you would want it....the standard engine is fast as lightning!

Q: Whats a better car the new-and improved 2006 Mazda Miata or the Honda S2000 and why?

A: 2006 Mazda, much better looking and more sporty when the S2000 they were making stuff up like this is the fastest sport car today which isnt true my fater drove one and he said it was a stone.

Q: Will the new tail lamps of a 2006 mazda mx5 miata fit into the older Mazda mx5 Miata?

A: The taillights are the one part of my 06 that I do NOT like. They're too glitzy and silvery for me. Taillights should be red.

Q: Which car should I buy - a Mazda Miata or Hyundi Tiburon?
Looking for real owner comments, good or bad. My current car died and I need wheels. My 'dream car' has always been a Mazda Miata convertible. I can get a never-driven 2006 Miata convertible what exactly what I want on it. However, doing so at the price I've negotiated would pretty much put me in the red every month. But I'd LOVE having it and hey, I could die tomorrow. But, is it a good car? Is it worth it, in every way? Or, I could be 'practical' and get an EXCELLENT deal on a loaded 2004 Tiburon with 23,000 miles on it and I could easily afford it (well, it wouldn't break me), and I'd have a pretty cool looking car for a very good price. But, is it a good car? Everything I read says it is. But you owners tell me the truth. You Miata owners tell me. I know the Miata has a better resale value, but I'm going to be driving this til it dies or I do! Other options are a 2004 Chevy Cobalt or Mitsubishi Eclipse. PLEASE help me make a decision! If you own one of these, give me your input!

A: Well personally, I've always thought Miata's were 'ok' cars. I had always thought to myself, "Mid-life crisis." But now I was actually handed down a Miata myself and I must say I like it ALOT more than I had thought. VERY dependable. Fun to drive, easily modified, pretty decent gas milage(around20-25 depending how you drive). I got handed down a 1990 Miata with a little over 260,000 miles on it, and it's running strong!! Still did the necessary oil, air filter, and brake changes and whatnot. Overall though, very reliable and worth the money in the long run. Only thing I would change on mine is the color. I have the classic red. I wanna go for black. Good luck! Oh and the tiberion i know nothing about. :)

Q: Which Mazda miata (MX5) is better
I am looking for a mazda miata (mx5) and im wondering which is better between a 04-05 Mazdaspeed mx5 or a 2006- present mx5.

A: The MazdaSpeed is much better if you can find one in good shape. Rumours are that the 2009 MazdaSpeed will again be the Mx-5. I am guessing it will be priced around $27K-$30K. If you can afford it, I would wait until 2009 so that you can have the best of both worlds.

Q: Did the Mazda MX-5 Miata get a new body style?
The 2006 MX-5 is a new body style from the old miatas. but is the 2007 even newer as in a new body style since just last year?

A: The only thing that changed from 06 to 07 is the retractable hard top option. You can still get the soft top or hard top now. If you are thinking about a new toy for yourself you can't beat the Miata. I am on my third one now.

Q: Car Question?
What would be the best engine I could put in a 2006 Mazda Miata and so I could still fit a supercharger and other modifications would still fit?

A: I would try to fix up a real car not a nelly boy one. Don't waste your time g

Q: Cold air intake question?
I'm looking to buy a cold air intake for my 2000 mazda miata and i was just wondering on a price range that i should look for because i was looking on ebay and i see alot of cold air intake filters for around $20-$50 but the 2006 mazdaspeed cold air intake is like $200 so i figured they wouldnt include somethin. Also, it would realy help if someone could list of things i might need to do a cold air intake conversion.

A: Well a filter is only a protion of an entire cold air intake system Kinda like the lug nuts are only a part of an entire tire and wheel package. $200 is about right for a complete, uninstalled cold air intake. Expect to spend in that range.

Q: Would you buy this car?
If some company made an inexpensive, focused sports car would you buy it? Say the car had these specifacations: $18,000; 26 city/36 highway miles per gallon; 220 horsepower; a 3.0 liter V-6 engine; a 6-speed manual transmission; two seats; plenty of cargo space; looks good from the inside; looks great from the outside; a loud exhaust; the acceleration of a 2006 Mustang GT; and the handling of a Mazda Miata. Plus these negatives: poor ride quality, high noise, and only average reliability. Would you buy a car like that, if not tell me why.

A: Any intelligent person who wanted a sports car and had the money would buy the car you just described. It's a no brainer.
