Q: i have a 1987 mazda rx7 and it overheated and still ran afterwords then when i parked it it wouldnt start?
A: was it skipping/missing? How overheated did it get? May have burnt some gaskets, but you've got a rotary engine so it's more complicated. Check for the 3 basic things needed to run. Sparking spark plug, supply of fuel, and air.
Q: i have a 1987 mazda rx7 NON turbo. what can i do to make it faster, without swapping engines.?
dont wanna hear you guys say put a ls1 in it. i know ican do that but i wanna keep the wankel in there. could i put a turbo on it and maybe re-do the intake? jsut throw me some ideas guys
A: Intake, headers, full exhaust, pullies is a start, thats just to name a few upgrades, much more you can do but in which order is up to you.
Q: Market value of a 1987 Mazda RX7 mint condition?
I have one, mint condition inside and out. Gray clear coat exterior, no rust, very nice leather seats interior. No mechanical problems, stock engine. Is it likely to appreciate over the next 5 years?
A: Is it a factory turbo? That makes a HUGE difference in the value!!!! A regular coupe would be worth about $1000 or so, in good condition. The turb would be worth almost $5000 in the same condition!! This is assuming that there are not too many miles on the vehicles
If the car is taken care of well, and not driven much (several thousand miles a year) you will not lose much value, and the car may actually gain a bit.
Q: how do i get more torque out of my 1987 Mazda RX7 ?
A: You could try adding turbos, but bottom line, buying something else is a solid bet.
Q: how much horse power does a 1987 mazda rx7 have?
A: about 150 but i use to shift mine at about 10,000 rpm. those rotary motors will rev right up there, safely
Q: How many varations did Mazda have for there 1987 RX7?
A: Thet had a base SE, a light sporty GTU, a luxury GXL and fast Turbo II. Thats it I belive.
Q: What's first for an RX7 upgrade?
I have a 1987 Mazda RX7 SE and I would like to squeeze some more horse power out of it. The problem is that I don't know much about rotary motors so I was wondering where should I start?
A: Hey, I've got an 87 SE as well. First you should go for exhaust, not intake. Do you want your car breathing in through a pipe and out through a straw? No. Try Racing Bear, Corksport, or Apex'i exhaust systems. Other cheaper brands are avaliable, but those three are the best for rotary performance. Next go to the intake. Your best bet would be to fab up a CAI (Cold Air Intake). They make headlight covers that are vented that let in cool, outside air. Let that vent to the cold air box, in which you should have an upgraded, cone filter. If you're going to start modding your RX-7, go on forums. They help on everything, and you'll be getting information on others experiences with certain products and what you should/ shouldn't do.
And of course, a full tune up is a first for any car you get...

Q: How much would you pay for this car?
1987 Mazda RX7 in good condition with a new engine and 13,000 miles.
A: i would buy it for 5 grand. if it has a new engin with inly 13k miles than it pretty good. you could always go to www.kbb.com. kelly blue book will let you see how much they think it would be. when i was searching for a car i would see the car and then put it through kelly blue book to see if the seller was fair about what they were putting it up for.

Q: I want to sell my car, which has a lien on it...how?
I have a car which was used against a loan I co-signed for. The car is a 1987 Mazda RX7 and is not in great shape, but would still be valuable enough to an RX7 enthusiast, seeing as the engine was rebuilt and the tranny is still good. The loan the car was used as collateral again has about $1800 remaining on it, but I know if I sold the car I could not fetch that amount of money. I figure I would be able to realistically receive around $1000 for the car.
So, my question is: How do I sell this car? Do I have to pay off the $1800 first, or will the proceeds from the sale of this car have to go directly to the finance company that holds the lien? Will I have to contact them directly before the sale of the car or will the D&V office automaticall collect on their behalf? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I live in Ontario if that helps break down the question a bit further.
A: get full coverage..then pay a crackhead 20 bucks to total it for you
