Q: how can i make 1993 mazda rx7 turbo from 255hp to 550hp?
i have 1993 rx7 single turbo its fast but i want to make it 550hp i use to to have a supra and mod it a little but quit cause it was to expensive how can i do it with my new car and how much would it cost should i just put a bigger turbo thanks ppl later!!!

A: You've already got the idea, you first need a larger turbo setup and fuel system, but you will also need to have the seals replaced with stronger ones. There are a only a few shops for rotarys out there so you may have to do some looking in your area. Most people do a rebuild with porting for around $3,000 and get a bigger turbo setup with computer and fuel system for about $3500 more. I would buy the turbo setup and then find a shop that will do the porting, with new seals and setup the turbo with a dyno tune. I would think for about $7,000 you can have 500 rear wheel HP, which is more like 600 motor HP, with that you will be flying. Probably be as fast as a 900 hp Supra turbo, becasue yuor RX-7 is about 500 lbs lighter not to mention it handles better. Check out the link below.

Q: Can A 1993 Mazda Rx7 Twin turbo Auto be tuned to be good as a Standard Rx7 ?Or should i just get a manuals?
I want performance...for them And The Standard is a Twin turbo And Costs A Little More

A: The reason people buy sticks isn't because it's faster per say. It's that you have more control over when your car shifts, so it won't downshift too early or waste time in a higher gear than you want it to be. It wouldn't be hard to beat a stick RX7 down the 1/4 mile but when you are say drifting around a corner and your transmission shifts up and you regain traction too soon is when you'll get passed.

Q: What do u think is the best car 1993-1995 mazda rx7 tt or 1993-1998 toyota supra tt and what year is best?
I am planning to get one of them in the near future.

A: I would definetly go with the Supra. Great cars. I would go with any year as long as it had the T top. Its easier to get more horsepower, capable of more horses. Dont get me wrong the RX7 is a great car too but not capable as much power. You sure do have great taste in cars. really any of the 2 that you get will be great though.

Q: Im about to buy a 1993 mazda rx7 tt from a friend should I buy it?
the car has a 98000 mileage and where te odometer is read went off and did not came back the motor is runing great and the interior and exterior of the car are good but it seems that the turbos might be wearing off a bit since the car has lost some power but it's feels strong other than that the car its a beauty my friend its selling because he does not want to race anymore and spend more money on the car. the car goes for 7,500 is it worth it or should i walk away from the deal? somebody help

A: Ok, Im going to go to the opposite of what others are saying (BTW if it wasnt a RHD rx7, and it was in america, it was not a 2000, mazda stopped importing them in 95 and stopped producing them in 2001), It its losing power then it might be a bad apex seal, though I doubt that since if the apex seal went out it would idle like crap and have a big, not little, lose in power, seems to me that its more like the ignition or a bit of carbon build up on the apex seals. both are cureable. If he was racing it, what kinda setup does he have? is it all stock or modifyed? If you get it (7500 its a very good price for a running 3rd gen) there are some issues that you should take care of. first is the twin turbo set up. Ditch it. In all truth it was the worst thing mazda did for the car. the heat is the biggest reason that this engine dies. Go single turbo, theres plenty of kits out there at affordable prices and get a turbo timer to cool down the engine after youve driven it. both of these thing will add years to your engine. But thats just IMHO

Q: My 1993 Mazda RX7 will not pass emissions because the CO2 level is to high. What might be the cause of this?

A: it could be an exhaust leak, or as simple as a vacuum leak. How high are your CO2 readings? You may need to change your oxygen sensor if it hasnt been changed in a while. Most of these last 50000 miles on average. How well does your car run? More info would be needed to offer any help.

Q: how much does a Mazda Rx7 1993- complete tune up cost?

A: If you're looking at a FD and are asking this, you best not buy it then. Car rule #1: Never trust someone with a financial interest in your car. Q: should I buy a 1993 mazda RX7 for $800 for my daughter.?
it runs fine and looks fine also, It has 153,000 miles

A: i would say that is an fair deal, i believe those are the cars with rotary engines and they usually last longer than v type engines, but before u decide take it for a test drive check it for leaks look at the tires to see how much tread is left and take it to a mechanic for an inspection b4 u buy it, otherwise ive seen those cars go over 250k miles with regular maintinence and a little tlc. hope i was helpful.

Q: where can i buy a used 1993 and above mazda RX7 for 7,000 or less?
it should be standard and in good condition

A: for one, NEVER buy a car on-line! Especially used! I wouldnt recommend it. we bought a car for about 5 thousand dollars. It was a fricking lemon! It was broken down for about a month cause it was such junk, and we put way more money into the car than we paid for it! And its funny cause it was also a 93 mazda! LOL! U'r best bet is to shop in person! Thats wat we do now! Now we finally found a good vehicle! Well hope that will help u a bit! Good luck!

Q: my car does backfire everytime i change gear. is that bad or a problem? my car is an mazda rx7 1993?

A: It sounds like your IAC (idle air control) valve. Whenever you press in the clutch and release the accelerator to shift, you engine momentarily idles as if you were sitting or coasting. If the IAC is bad, it may be letting too much fuel or too little air into your motor. The extra fuel is fuming out in your exhaust, then igniting causing a back fire. A new one on the Autozone website is $395.99. You can do the labor your self, it's just three bolts and a gasket. You might try finding one at a salvage yard first. Just be sure to clean in really well with mineral spirits, but not WD-40.

Q: 1993-1994 Mazda RX7 Specs?
I thinking of purchasing one and I want to spec it out first. Any known downsides to the car itself?

A: I don't have any mazda experience to give you downsides of the car, but you can go to www.edmunds.com to get specs and alot of other info.

Q: The 92-93 Mazda Rx7's
The 1992 Mazda Rx7 FD3s was made only in japan but the 1993 Mazda Rx7 was made in the U.S. until 1997. So aren't they the same models? And my other question was if I wanted to buy parts for a 1992 Mazda Rx7 wouldn't I be able to just buy the parts to the 1993 Mazda RX7 and they would fit?

A: In all they are all the same, except the non-turbos, turbos, and twin turbos. Then the types of rx7's. They all have different setups and tabs of modifications. Knowing yearly of the cars consumers probably had reports of improvement. So the newer it got the less the problems the 7 have gotten. Otherwise than that they all have the same stuff pretty much.
